DANNA
Danna, born on June 23, 1995 in Mexico City, is a Mexican singer, songwriter, and actress who began her career as a child star before establishing herself as one of Latin America's most versatile pop voices. Her music spans pop, dance-pop, and reggaeton, with lyrics rooted in empowerment and personal experience. She gained international recognition for voicing Rapunzel in the Spanish-language version of Disney's Tangled (2010) and for her role as Lucrecia "Lu" Montesinos in Netflix's Élite.
Her discography opens with Mi globo azul (2001), her debut album recorded with Universal Music as a child star, followed by Océano (2004), released alongside the soundtrack of the hit series Amy, la niña de la mochila azul. Chiquita pero picosa (2005) marked her third studio effort, showcasing her growing confidence as a young performer. Her self-titled album Danna Paola (2012) was a pivotal moment, marking her transition from childhood star to solo artist with a more mature sound. The EP Sie7e (2019) signaled her artistic reinvention, and its full-length expansion (Sie7e +) (2020) cemented her return to the spotlight with bold, genre-blending pop. K.O. (2021), which she described as the most important album of her career at the time, earned international recognition and multiple award nominations. Childstar (2024) arrived as her most personal statement yet — a synth-pop record on which she took full creative control and officially rebranded from Danna Paola to simply Danna. In 2026, she continued her creative momentum with two EPs: Lucid Dreams and Wet Dreams.
