CARLY RAE JEPSEN
Carly Rae Jepsen (born November 21, 1985) is a Canadian singer, songwriter and actress. She rose to mainstream attention after placing third on Canadian Idol in 2007 and released her folk-influenced debut album Tug of War the following year.
Her breakthrough came in 2012 with the global smash "Call Me Maybe" — the best-selling single of that year with over 18 million copies sold and number one in more than 19 countries. Her second album Kiss followed later that year. In 2015, she released Emotion, a critically acclaimed 80s-influenced synth-pop record featuring "Run Away with Me" and "I Really Like You". Dedicated (2019) and its companion Dedicated Side B (2020) continued her streak of beloved pop albums.
Her sixth album The Loneliest Time (2022) was followed by companion record The Loveliest Time (2023). In 2026, she releases her eighth studio album Day and Night, featuring singles "On Wires" and "After All".
Jepsen has received three Juno Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, and ranked #75 on Billboard's Top Women Artists of the 21st Century (2025).
